CBD Transparency: Price, Quality and Values
High quality CBD should be accessible to as many people as possible. At Sunsoil, we firmly believe in chasing down price with efficiency, never by sacrificing quality — the result of which is high quality CBD products at an approachable price point.
When shopping for CBD, think about three key aspects that define what you’re buying:
The quality of the CBD
The price per milligram (mg) of CBD
The values of the company
How to Make Sure You’re Buying High Quality CBD
It’s important to do your research and take an educated approach to find the best CBD oil for you.
To ensure you’re getting high quality CBD, you should know your source. For Sunsoil, quality means:
Organically grown hemp from farms you know and trust. We grow USDA Certified Organic hemp on farms we operate in Vermont. We breed our own seeds to create hearty, healthy plants that produce excellent yields. We don’t use GMOs, we never use pesticides or herbicides, and we build the soil through crop rotation and organic amendments. We want to leave the land in better shape than we found it, and our approach to farming helps us fulfill that promise.
A natural process for making CBD oil. Our whole-plant infusion process is a clean and efficient process. We don’t extract using costly CO2, or ethanol or butane. The result is a highly bioavailable product with fewer ingredients at a fair cost.
Easily accessible third-party independent testing. Every batch of CBD oil we manufacture is tested by three separate ISO-accredited labs to confirm potency and purity. It’s a critical part of our process that allows us to produce a safe and consistent product. We also post our lab results on our website for you to see.
Full spectrum CBD products that capture the whole-plant extract. We like CBD to be consumed as nature intended – using the full range of cannabinoids and terpenes found in the hemp plant. We create a full spectrum CBD product that uses the whole plant.
Fewer ingredients. No additives or preservatives. Our products only have a few simple ingredients that are recognizable and easy to understand.
CBD Pricing Per Milligram
CBD is the primary ingredient in CBD products like tinctures, softgels and capsules. The amount of CBD in the serving size of the product you choose should be easily known. When analyzing your purchase decision, think about the price per milligram in the CBD product you are choosing.
You can use the simple equation below to determine price per milligram (mg) of CBD:
Total price ($) / total mg of CBD = $ per mg of CBD
For example: If you spend $60 on a CBD tincture with a total of 600 mg of CBD, then you are paying: $60 / 600 = $0.10, or 10 cents per mg of CBD.
If you spend $60 on a CBD tincture with 1200 mg of CBD, then you are paying: $60 / 1200 = $0.05 or 5 cents per mg of CBD.
High Quality CBD at an Accessible Cost
Providing a high-quality CBD product at an accessible price is a core pursuit at Sunsoil. That’s why we ask customers to think about what quality practices went into creating the product they’re buying. At Sunsoil, we define quality by farming organically, testing our products rigorously in independent labs, extracting naturally and operating with integrity above everything else. We manage costs to bring you a high-quality product at a fair price.
When compared to other leading CBD brands, Sunsoil CBD has a compelling price per milligram.

Values Matter When Shopping for CBD
Sunsoil’s philosophy is that no one should be restricted from accessing safe, lab-tested CBD products. Our values are rooted in people, plants and the planet. These three things are at the center of the decisions we make and how we operate our business.
People
We believe in doing the most good for the most people. It’s why we do this every day. Through our work, we believe in building community, treating people well, and setting a standard in an emerging industry. We’re building a company that’s holistically serving our employees, our customers and the community.
Plants
For us, organic is the only way to grow our Vermont hemp. And we use the whole plant to produce full spectrum CBD. Better plants make a better CBD product, and we’re humbled we get to share this whole-plant wisdom with customers every day.
Planet
Farming hemp uses resources from the earth– that’s why we’ve made it a priority to give back to the land. We’re an Earth first company, and we’re committed to taking care of the planet through our organic farming practices and the way we do business.
